Depends on how bad the bruise is (where the paint hit, how close they were, etc). If it hits a sweater, it probably won’t even bruise. On lighter clothing or skin, you’ll probably have a nice bright welt for a few days. They tend to be fairly obvious (looks kind of like a hickey), but the redness goes away pretty quickly and the whole thing will probably fade within a few days to a week.

simply put, bruises are collections of blood underneath your skin trying to heal you. how long bruises last depend on how well your body heals. paintballing is high contact long or short range. so self-healing time + intensity of hit = severity and length of bruise

My boys paintball and their bruises would take several days to go away. I feel that it’s different depending on the severity of the bruise.

Hope you feel better soon

Depends on the extent of blood pooling below your skin (bruise). It also depends on your general overall health, which I assume is well if you’re active enough to be paintballing. Depends where on your body the bruises are and how badly bruised it is. If it is in an area you can exercise, say on an arm, the more you work it out, the faster it will heal, at least, thats what I’ve seen from paintball bruises on my son. Hope you feel better soon.
