How do I stop my paintballing mask from steaming up?
I’m going Paintballing this sunday with some friends, i’ve been about 6 times before and everytime I go my mask steams up and I can’t see anything at all. And obviouslythis ruins the day for me.
The masks are provided by the paintballing centre, i thought about buying my own but there is little point as i dont go that often.
Is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening?

Go to a local SCUBA diving shop and buy a bottle of dive mask defogger. Ask the clerk how to use it properly.
I would buy your own even tho you don’t go often. Find one that has air holes in it. Thats why it keeps fogging up is because u breathing and theres no where for it to go but to stay in the mask.
spit. hold your breath for 2 hours, or just buy some freakin defogger. since you use paintball you cant use the mesh facemask which is what i would reccomend if you do airsoft
Not much you can do about rental masks, unfortunately. Buy some defogging spray and ask if you can use it on the mask lens (don’t just spray it on there without their permission).
Best option is to purchase your own with a thermal lens - generally speaking, they don’t fog up.
If you’re going to continue using the rentals, however, use some lens defogger - the shop you’re going to should have some they will let you use.
I personally still recommend buying your own, that way you get the style and comfort of a more pleasant paintballing experience - and they aren’t that expensive, 40 - 50 bucks will get you a decent one with a thermal lens etc.
i would go for the spray and for gods sake dont use a mesh mask like the guy said above freakin airsofters, just sneak in the spray and use it and if they ask what it is say its to clean the goggles
Anti-fog coating and sprays don’t last longer than about 10 seconds.
The best defense against fog is getting your own mask with a Thermal Lens (duel pane). If your in a high humidity area, a fan may also be needed with the thermal lens.
